The ELCIS I/120 incremental encoder is an extremely robust model, entirely machined from anodized aluminum and designed for high shaft stresses. It incorporates an internal readout with a self-balancing system, making it suitable for steel mills, paper mills, funiculars, and heavy machinery.
It offers resolutions from 1 to 2,540 dpi and a maximum frequency of 100 kHz. Depending on the version, it operates on power supplies up to 5–30 V DC. The 22 mm diameter stainless steel shaft with a usable length of 73 mm supports high radial/axial loads, and the assembly maintains dimensional stability against vibrations and impacts. Bearing life is 1.5 × 10⁹ revolutions.
