The MTN/1010 has a larger support base (25 mm vs. 19 mm) and a greater mass (110 g vs. 52 g), making it ideal for heavier machinery where the weight of the sensor itself is not a factor that alters the vibration dynamics of the equipment.

Are precautions necessary due to electrical noise in the installation?
Yes. Because it has a non-galvanically isolated base and uses standard coaxial cable, it should be installed at points on the machine where there are no ground loops or severe spikes in electromagnetic interference (EMI). In cases of critical EMI, it is recommended to upgrade to the isolated MTN/1100 series.

What mechanical adapters can be used with its 25mm base?
The unit comes standard with a ¼"-28 UNF female thread, but the family of adapters allows direct conversion to M6, M8, M10, M12 male threads and even bases for industrial glue, as well as being compatible with Quick Fit quick connectors (MTN/1010Q variant).
