The ELCIS AF19 is an absolute wire linear transducer, with Ø 1.35 mm wire and PROFIBUS-DP interface, for measuring linear lengths of up to 40, 50 and 60 m (AF19P version).
Line driver output electronics (according to RS485), ASIC photodiodes with LED emitter (>= 100,000 h), unbreakable plastic disc, 0.1 mm or 1 mm resolution, and binary output code. Maximum reading speed 4 m/s, maximum acceleration 2.5 G, maximum linearity error ±0.05% fs, and mean lifetime >10⁶ cycles at 2 m/s.
IP64 rating for the encoder and mechanical components; the 3PG, 3PG-VA (stainless steel), and 2M20 connection covers are IP65 rated, and the status indication is provided by two LEDs. Operating temperature ranges from -20 to +70 °C (storage from -40 to +85 °C), and humidity is 98% with no liquid state. Programmable parameters include: direction of rotation (complement), resolution per revolution, total resolution, preset value, speed output, and limit switches, all controlled via software.
