The Schreiber Messtechnik SM32 Series LVDT linear displacement sensor is a high-precision element designed for linear displacement measurement in industrial and scientific applications. With configurable accuracy and infinite resolution, the SM32 ensures accurate, consistent and reliable readings. In addition, its stability against temperature variations is guaranteed thanks to minimal thermal drift. The sensor has 0/4…20mA, 0/10VDC p ±10VDC outputs available. It can be manufactured with customized linearities and ranges.

Properties

1.- Precision: Available with accuracy up to ±0.25% or ±0.5%, providing accurate and consistent measurements in industrial applications.

2.- Measuring Range: Available with 5, 10 and 15 mm measuring ranges, suitable for short range linear displacement applications.

3.- Sensitivity: Sensitivity of 440 mV/mm with a variation of ±10%, ensuring high resolution in displacement measurements.

4.- Thermal Drift: Less than 0.005% per °C, ensuring the sensor maintains its accuracy despite temperature fluctuations.

5.- Operating Temperature Range: The sensor operates within a temperature range of -40°C to +120°C, making it suitable for industrial environments with extreme thermal conditions.

6.- Resistance to Adverse Conditions:

  • Crashes: Shock resistant up to 250g SRS in a range of 20-2000 Hz, ensuring impact resistance.
  • Vibrations: Withstands up to 20 g RMS and 50 g peak, ideal for applications in vibrating environments.

7.- Degree of Protection: IP65, ensuring protection against dust and water, allowing use in demanding industrial environments.

8.- Materials:

  • 25X25mm body and Core Manufactured in stainless Ni-Fe alloy, providing high resistance to wear and corrosion.
  • Stem: Made of brass, corrosion resistant.
  • Palpator: Stainless steel, ensuring wear resistance.
  • Dock: Stainless steel, designed to withstand repeated cycles without losing performance.

9.- Dimensions and Weight:

  • Sensor Mass: Approximately 20 g.
  • Mass with Probe: Approximately 30 g.
