Linear Potentiometer RPF
- Manufacturer: ELCIS Encoder
- Category: Displacement, Linear Potentiometer, SENSORS, Potentiometric linear sensors, Linear Transducers
The RPF linear potentiometer is an absolute (analog) sensor characterized by its shaftless design (model RPC) and minimal installation length. Applications indicated by the manufacturer include: hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders, plastic molding, packaging, textile machinery, etc.
The cursor has a ball bearing that reduces the effects of misalignment with the actuating part.
Supplied in stroke lengths from 50 mm to 1000 mm, with resistive values of 5 kΩ or 10 kΩ and linearity < ±0.07 % (0.05 % from 425 mm). It connects via a DIN 43650 IP65-ISO 4400 swivel connector. It must be used as a voltage divider with a maximum current of 1 µA at the wiper contact; if the downstream system requires more current, an additional circuit will be necessary. Weight ranges from 521 to 1693 g depending on the stroke length; the table of usable stroke lengths and overall lengths, and the order code, are shown in the data sheet (other lengths available upon request). guemisa.es.

Technical Frequently Asked Questions
What technical differences does the RPF model present compared to other axle-based models?
It is characterized by the absence of a shaft (mod. RPC) and by its minimum installation length.
How does the RPF cursor react to misalignment?
The cursor has a ball bearing that reduces the effects of misalignment with the drive part. The drawing shows the coupling joint with an angular travel of +10° / -10°.
What races and endurance events does the RPF series cover?
It covers strokes from 50 mm to 1000 mm, with 5 kOhm up to 600 mm and 10 kOhm from 750 mm.
