El ELCIS 358 (A/358) es un encoder absoluto monovuelta óptico de 2 a 13 bits, en carcasa metálica con brida de montaje cuadrada, para usos industriales generales.

It is optical, with an LED source and phototransistors, and delivers the position in Gray, Binary, Excess, BCD, or custom code, up to 8192 steps per revolution (13 bits). The output is parallel, with options for zero, latch, and parity LEDs; SSI serial (RS422) in Gray or Excess; or analog in current or voltage (0–10 V) with 10-bit resolution.

Tiene brida cuadrada de 58 mm y eje de acero inoxidable Ø6 h7 para 2 kg de carga radial/axial, resiste impactos de 50 G y vibraciones de 12 G, y trabaja entre 0 y +70 °C con protección IP64 en el lado del eje (IP66 en versión sellada).

Technical Frequently Asked Questions

What resolutions does the A/358 offer for each code?

In Gray, Binary and BCD, 8, 16, 32, 64, 128, 256 or 512 steps per revolution; in Gray and Binary, also 1024, 2048, 4096 or 8192; in Excess, Binary and BCD, 10, 100, 500, 1000, 180, 360, 720 or 900; and in Excess and Binary, 1440, 1800, 2000, 2880, 3600 or 4000. Other resolutions available upon request.

What limitations does analog output have?

Converts the 10-bit position (1024 div/revolution) into an analog current or voltage (0–10 V) for 360° of rotation. Available only with 15 V or 18–28 V power supply and 1024 resolution.

Can the SSI interface be used with binary or BCD code?

No. The SSI serial output is only available with Gray or Excess code. On the parallel interface, the Latch input is standard with Binary and BCD code.
