This absolute encoder incorporates a fieldbus and SSI (Synchronous Serial Interface) output according to the RS422 standard. It provides an astonishing combined maximum resolution of up to 30 bits (16,384 rotations), utilizing an ultra-precision IR photodiode optical array and an unbreakable disk. It is offered in both a standard (SL) version and a Preset (S1) version.

Technical Frequently Asked Questions
How does the integrated SSI output protocol work?
Data output is controlled by an external clock. The absolute angular position value is stored instantly in the encoder and transmitted serially, always starting with the most significant bit (MSB), via the RS422/RS485 standard.
What are the mechanical load restrictions?
Thanks to its patented coupling and hollow shaft, it supports combined loads of up to 70 N (radial) and 110 N (axial), allowing continuous operation at speeds of 5000 RPM in the standard IP65 model, ensuring excellent bearing life.
Is there an option to increase protection against liquids?
Yes. The unit comes with IP65 protection by default, but by specifying Option "W" (Sealed ball bearings), the encoder is supplied with IP66 sealed bearings. Please note that this reduces the maximum continuous RPM to 2500 RPM.
