The turbidity sensor TU8525 It allows for continuous and stable measurements of low turbidity in drinking water, filtration processes, and industrial water treatment applications, using nephelometric technology in accordance with standards. ISO 7027 and EN 27027.Thanks to its optical technology based on infrared light and 90° scattered light detection, the sensor provides stable, reliable and repeatable measurements even in applications with very low turbidity values.

The TU8525 turbidity sensor is especially suitable for continuous water quality monitoring applications, filtration control, ETAP and WWTP processes, industrial automation and process supervision where accurate turbidity measurement is required with integration into PLC, SCADA and industrial data acquisition systems.

The measurement is performed using a pulsed infrared light source, minimizing the influence of sample color and improving zero stability in low-turbidity applications. This operating principle allows for highly stable readings in drinking water, treated water, and industrial water quality control processes.

The probe incorporates isolated analog output 4…20 mA and digital communication Isolated RS485 through protocols Modbus RTU and B&C ASCII, facilitating its integration into modern industrial facilities with high EMC/RFI immunity to frequency converters, motors and electrically noisy environments.

The TU8525 allows you to configure different measurement scales up to 400 NTU It incorporates configurable digital filtering, internal temperature compensation and advanced self-diagnostic functions via a "check signal", allowing continuous monitoring of the sensor's optical status and detection of possible contamination, optical dirt or absence of sample.

The probe can be installed in different hydraulic configurations:

  • Online installation using industrial adapters and bypasses.
  • Installation in tanks using specific accessories.
  • Overflow installation through the cells TU910 and TU920.

For applications of low turbidity, the overflow cell TU910 It is the recommended solution, as it allows for hydraulic stabilization of the sample, flow regulation, and minimization of air microbubbles—critical factors for ensuring reliable and repeatable measurements at low NTU values. Thanks to its hydraulic design, the TU910 significantly improves reading stability in continuous monitoring of drinking water and filtration processes.

For applications with higher turbidity values or higher sample flow rates, the cell can be used TU920, designed for process applications with higher hydraulic flow.
