This unit weighs 580 grams and its stainless steel shaft supports radial and axial loads of up to 3 kg. What is the IP protection level of the housing and shaft?
In its standard version, the device features IP65 protection on the output connection and IP64 protection on the shaft. For more critical applications, the "Z" Option incorporates sealed bearings that increase shaft protection to IP65, although it limits the maximum speed to 2000 RPM.
What electronic output configurations are available?
The MM58H can be configured with standard Parallel output or SSI Serial communication (Option S), using Gray or Binary encoding. Additionally, NPN Open Collector or NPN Emitter (70mA + PTC) output electronics configurations are available.
Is the encoder suitable for extreme thermal conditions?
The nominal operating range is 0 to +70 °C. However, if your application is in extremely cold or hot environments, the encoder can be equipped with Options "A" (for high temperature) and "L" (for low temperature) upon customer request.
