KELLER ECO2 Digital Pressure Gauge
He KELLER ECO2 digital pressure gauge It is a compact and economical instrument for measuring and testing pressure in industrial installations. It is available with ranges of 0…31 absolute bar and 0…300 bar, It offers accuracy of up to ±0.5 % of the full scale at room temperature and does not require an external power supply, as it operates using a replaceable CR2430 lithium battery.
Its two-line LCD screen simultaneously displays the current pressure and the last recorded maximum value. Pressing the ENTER button also displays, for five seconds, the minimum value measured since the last reset. This function facilitates checking pressure variations, extreme values, and potential drops or increases during maintenance and monitoring operations.
Compact digital pressure gauge for industrial applications
The KELLER ECO2 is a simple digital alternative to conventional mechanical pressure gauges when a clear reading, different pressure units, and higher resolution than an analog dial are required. The pressure is updated at a frequency of two measurements per second and is displayed on an LCD screen with two rows of 4.5 digits.
The instrument incorporates an isolated and encapsulated piezoresistive pressure sensor. The pressure connection and the sensor's diaphragm are made of AISI 316L stainless steel. Its housing is protected. IP65, suitable against the entry of dust and water jets.
Available ranges of the KELLER ECO2
The ECO2 digital pressure gauge is supplied in two versions:
- ECO2 of 31 bar: range of 0…31 bar absolute, resolution of 0.01 bar and overload resistance up to 60 bar.
- ECO2 300 bar: range of 0…300 bar, resolution of 0.1 bar and overload resistance up to 400 bar.
The 31 bar version comes factory-set to zero at a vacuum, i.e., 0 bar absolute. When a measurement relative to atmospheric pressure is desired, the function can be used. ZERO SET with the pressure gauge exposed to ambient pressure.
The 300 bar version uses 1 bar absolute as its zero reference. Before selecting the range, it is advisable to consider the normal working pressure, potential overpressures, and the required resolution.
Accuracy and temperature performance
The specified accuracy at an ambient temperature of 20 to 25 °C is ≤ ±0.5 % FS. This specification includes nonlinearity, pressure hysteresis, lack of repeatability, and zero-point and amplification deviations.
Over the entire compensated range of 0 to 50 °C, the total error band is ≤ ±1.0 % FS. This band represents the maximum possible deviation within the specified pressure and temperature ranges, making it the most suitable data for assessing the maximum error under real operating conditions.
Long-term stability is up to ±0.2 % FS per year under reference conditions. When the pressure gauge is used in quality control, certified maintenance, or processes requiring traceability, KELLER recommends annual recalibration.
Current pressure reading and minimum and maximum values
The upper display continuously shows the current pressure. The lower display normally shows the maximum value recorded since the last reset. Briefly pressing ENTER will display the minimum stored value for five seconds.
The function RESET It sets the minimum and maximum values to the current pressure. This allows a new check to be started without needing to turn off or remove the pressure gauge.
When the applied pressure exceeds the display range, the screen shows an overflow or underflow warning. If the pressure exceeds the instrument's measurement range, the last valid value flashes as an overload warning.
Functions of the ECO2 pressure gauge
- RESET: resets the stored minimum and maximum values.
- ZERO SET: sets the applied pressure as a new zero reference.
- ZERO RESET: restores the zero setting made at the factory.
- MIN/MAX: It allows you to view the minimum and maximum measured values.
- OFF: Manual instrument shutdown.
- CONT ON: disables automatic shutdown for continuous operation.
- CONT OFF: It activates automatic shut-off after approximately 15 minutes without any pulses.
- BAT LOW: It alerts you on the screen when the battery needs to be replaced.
Selectable pressure units
The user can change the unit of measurement directly using the two front buttons, without the need for software or external accessories. The available units are:
- bar
- amber
- hPa
- kPa
- MPa
- PSI
- kp/cm²
The selected settings are retained after turning off the pressure gauge.
Swivel G1/4 adapter
The ECO2 body incorporates a male connection 7/16-20 UNF. Each instrument is delivered with a swivel adapter type Swivel with G1/4 male connection on the process side.
The Swivel system incorporates O-rings and allows the pressure gauge to be rotated to orient the display in the most comfortable reading position, without the final position depending on the tightening point of a conventional thread. The maximum tightening torque indicated for the adapter is 50 Nm.
Optional G1/8, 1/4-18 NPT and G1/4 adapters compliant with EN 837 without orientation function are also available.
Battery operated
The KELLER ECO2 operates using a lithium coin cell battery. CR2430 3V, factory-installed and included in the delivery. The battery range extends up to 1,000 hours of continuous operation.
To extend its battery life, the instrument can automatically shut off approximately 15 minutes after the last press. This function can be deactivated when continuous readings are required. When the battery is running low, the BAT LOW indicator will appear on the display.
Operating temperatures
- Compensated temperature range: 0…50 °C.
- Medium temperature: −10…60 °C.
- Ambient temperature: 0…50 °C.
- Storage temperature: −20…70 °C.
Outside the 0 to 50 °C range, display readability may be affected. The ambient temperature should not be confused with the storage temperature or the range within which the total error margin is guaranteed.
Common applications
Thanks to its compact size, independent power supply and two-button operation, the KELLER ECO2 digital pressure gauge is suitable for:
