SPR-001 Paddle Wheel Flow Sensor
- Manufacturer: DPF Sensors
- Category: Caudal, SENSORS
For measuring and monitoring liquid flow in industrial pipes, the DPF Sensors SPR-001 is an insertion paddle wheel flow sensor with configurable high and low flow alarms.
A paddle-shaped rotor spins with the fluid, and its rotation is detected by the Hall effect. Depending on the configuration, the SPR-001 is supplied with or without a local display, with two PNP or NPN switching outputs, and optionally, a 4-20 mA analog output or pulse output for integration into automation and control systems.
It is mounted by insertion onto a base welded to the pipe (33 mm diameter hole), on pipes from DN15 to DN600, with an IP65 enclosure for protection against dust and water jets. The body is manufactured from 304 stainless steel, PP, CPVC, PVDF, or PTFE, with an FPM/EPDM O-ring, PVDF rotor, and ZrO shaft.2. Available in guemisa.es.
- Pipes of DN15 a DN600 (1/2″ to 24″).
- Flow rate up to 6 m/s: of 0.19 to 3.82 m³/h in DN15 and of 76.34 to 1526.81 m³/h in DN300, according to the manufacturer's table.
- Repeatability and linearity of ±3 % of the bottom of the scale.
- Body in 304 stainless steel, PP, CPVC, PVDF or PTFE, FPM/EPDM O-ring and ZrO shaft2.
Technical Frequently Asked Questions
What flow rate does the SPR-001 measure according to the pipe diameter?
With speeds from 0.3 to 6 m/s, the manufacturer gives flow rates from 0.53 to 10.6 m³/h in DN25, from 2.12 to 42.41 m³/h in DN50, from 8.48 to 169.65 m³/h in DN100 and from 76.34 to 1526.81 m³/h in DN300. For other diameters, between DN15 and DN600, the exact DN must be indicated in the order.
What outputs does the SPR-001 have?
Two switching outputs, PNP or NPN, with configurable high and low flow thresholds. Depending on the signal code, either a 4-20 mA analog output (code 2) or a pulse output (code 3) is added. In the output code, M corresponds to a pulse output.
How is the SPR-001 installed in the pipe?
A base is welded onto a 33 mm diameter hole, with the welding grooves parallel to the pipe; the optimal position is with the base flush with the inner wall. The sensor is then inserted, aligning the bayonet's position.
