The ELCIS I/90C incremental encoder is designed for demanding industrial applications requiring high resolution and mechanical reliability. Its 90 mm diameter anodized aluminum housing provides structural rigidity and stability in environments with high vibration or impact. Equipped with a 15–30 mm diameter hollow shaft and internal tangential coupling, this model facilitates direct mounting on drive shafts or motors, ensuring accuracy and minimal backlash.

This encoder offers configurable resolutions from 1 to 36,000 pulses per revolution (ppr) and a maximum output frequency of 100 kHz (optional up to 300 kHz). It operates on a 5 to 30 V DC power supply and features configurable electronics (standard NPN, open collector, push-pull, or line driver). Its mechanical design includes bearings with a lifespan of 1.5 × 10⁹ revolutions, shock resistance of 50 G × 11 ms, vibration resistance of 12 G (10–2,000 Hz), and a thermal range of 0 °C to +70 °C.

Thanks to its high resolution performance, mechanical robustness and mounting flexibility, the I/90C model is widely used in industrial machinery, automation, test benches, high-power motors or wherever a high-precision signal is required for position and speed control.
