958H Multiturn Absolute Encoder (Field Bus)
- Manufacturer: ELCIS Encoder
- Category: Encoder, Absolute Encoder, Multi-turn Absolute Encoder, SENSORS
The automation of complex industrial processes demands compact encoders that combine high absolute resolution with direct fieldbus connectivity. Traditional systems require expensive converter modules that increase latency and points of failure in the control loop.
The 958H model solves this challenge by natively integrating Field Bus connectivity and Parallel output (PP/P1 with Preset) in an extremely compact form factor. It offers an astonishing absolute resolution of up to 25 bits (4096 rotations) using a high-precision IR photodiode array and an unbreakable plastic disk.
Its robust aluminum housing and stainless steel shaft ensure protection against reverse polarity and voltage spikes. Weighing only 400g in its multi-turn version and with servo-mount mounting support via claws or front screws, it is available in guemisa.es.
- Scalable 25-bit optical resolution with direct Gray or Binary output to Field Bus.
- Servo-Mount installation optimized for confined spaces in industrial machinery.
- SMD components and unbreakable disc that ensure an LED lifespan of over 100,000 hours.
- Native electronic protection against short circuits, voltage spikes and polarity reversal.
Technical Frequently Asked Questions
How does IP protection affect mechanical performance?
In its standard version (IP64), the encoder supports 6000 continuous RPM with a starting torque of 50 gcm. If ordered with sealed bearings (IP66, option Z), the maximum recommended speed drops to 3000 RPM and the starting torque increases to 90 gcm.
What electronic interface options are available?
The device can be configured with standard Parallel output (PP) or Parallel output with Preset function (P1). It also features 20 mA Push-Pull technology to ensure signal integrity in environments with high electromagnetic noise.
Is it suitable for installation in environments with vibration?
Yes. Its aluminum chassis, combined with the SMD optical array and its unbreakable disk, gives it resistance to vibrations of 10 G (between 10 and 1000 Hz) and impacts of 30 G for 11 milliseconds, with EMC certification EN 61000-6-2 and EN 61000-6-4.
