RV20 Incremental Optical Linear Encoder
- Manufacturer: ELCIS Encoder
- Category: Displacement, Optical Linear Encoders, SENSORS, Linear Transducers
The ELCIS RV20 is an incremental optical linear encoder (glass optical scale) with a 20×48.5 mm range and a resolution of 10 or 5 µm. It is an optical linear detector with a graduated glass measuring scale on photo-etched chrome, available in various sizes up to a maximum reading length of 2350 mm, and suitable for multi-axis machine tools, lathes, milling machines, etc.
The scale is made of special glass with a coefficient of expansion similar to that of machine tool beds, with a 20 µm pitch. The sliding detector head has a special device to maintain parallelism with the glass scale. The cover is made of anodized aluminum, with IP53 neoprene protection. LED light source.
Order codes: resolution (5) 5 µm and (10) 10 µm; electronics without code, standard (connector VB – 6c, 10 mA), and (N) 26LS31 driver (connector VD – 9c, 20 mA); power supply (5) 5 V ±5 % and (12) 12 V ±5 % with standard electronics; version BZ; options (X) custom option. Manufacturer example: L / RV20 / 500 / 5 / BZ / N / 5. Working stroke from 100 to 2350 mm in 50 mm increments.
- Photo-etched chrome-plated graduated glass scale 20 µm step, with a coefficient of expansion similar to that of machine tool beds.
- Reading career 100 to 2350 mm in 50 mm steps.
- Resolution of 10 µm (until 120 m/min) either 5 µm (until 60 m/min).
- Protection IP53 with neoprene protectors; starting force 6 N with joints and 3 N seamless.
- Feeding 5 V ±5 % (12 V ±5 % only with standard electronics), max. 100 mA; VB (10 mA) or VD (20 mA) output.
