The ELCIS I/90AA incremental encoder is a robust, ATEX-certified model designed for safe operation in potentially explosive atmospheres. Its 90 mm diameter anodized aluminum metal construction and hollow shaft allow for direct coupling to the motor or machine shaft, reducing intermediate components and ensuring precise, backlash-free transmission.

It offers resolutions from 1 to 25,000 pulses per revolution (ppr) and an output frequency of up to 100 kHz (300 kHz optional), with a 5 to 30 V DC power supply. It is available with different electronic configurations (line driver, push-pull, or open collector) and complies with ATEX 2014/34/EU regulations for areas with flammable gases or dust.

The I/90AA model combines precision, durability, and safety, maintaining IP65 protection and excellent resistance to vibration and impact. It is primarily used on machinery installed in refineries, petrochemical plants, energy environments, or hazardous areas where reliable motion control and positioning are required.
