The ELCIS 350 (A/350) is a 2-8 bit optical single-turn absolute encoder for rotary turrets and similar applications, with code customizable by ELCIS according to customer needs.

As an optical single-turn absolute encoder with LED source and phototransistors, the A/350 offers up to 256 steps per revolution (8 bits) in Gray, Excess, or custom code. The output is parallel, via a 1 m cable with radial or axial output, and the direction of rotation (CW or CCW) is selected at the time of ordering.

It has a Ø50 mm housing and a Ø6 h7 stainless steel shaft for 2 kg of radial/axial load, withstands impacts of 50 G and vibrations of 12 G, and works between 0 and +70 °C with IP65 protection on the shaft side (IP66 in sealed version).

How do you choose the direction of rotation of the A/350?

In the order code: leave the box empty for clockwise (CW) rotation or AR for counterclockwise (CCW). The direction of rotation is not switchable (up/down).
