- Category: Water quality, SENSORS, Conductivity Sensors
The B&C Electronics SZ3252 Conductivity Sensor is a conductivity cell designed to measure electrical conductivity in a wide variety of industrial processes.
The electrical conductivity sensor works using the principle of measuring the electrical conductivity of a solution, which is directly related to the concentration of ions in the liquid.
The sensor uses two black platinum electrodes that are immersed in the solution. An alternating current is applied between the electrodes to avoid polarization processes that could alter the measurement. The ions present in the solution conduct the electric current between the electrodes, and this ability to conduct current is proportional to the ionic concentration of the solution.
