ST3214.4 Toroidal Conductivity Sensor
- Manufacturer: B&C Electronics
- Category: Water quality, SENSORS, Conductivity Sensors
The ST3214.4 toroidal conductivity sensor from B&C Electronics uses the principle of inductive conductivity, where two toroidal coils measure the conductivity of the solution without the need for electrodes in direct contact with the liquid, which reduces contamination and polarization problems.
These conductivity meters incorporate a temperature sensor for automatic compensation, ensuring accurate measurements under adverse conditions.
They are designed to measure EC in applications such as river and canal measurements, water treatment, cooling towers, water quality monitoring, nutrient analysis in slurry, to estimate nitrogen and potassium levels with high reliability.
The sensor body is made of PVC-C, resistant to temperatures up to 50 °C and pressures up to 10 bar at 25 °C.
Installation can be in-line or submersible, facilitated by a 1 1/2” MNPT thread on both ends. The sensor is powered through the signal loop and provides a 4-20 mA current output proportional to the measured conductivity.
