Monitran Industrial Turbine Current Sensor | 8.5 mm | 10 kHz
The Monitran Industrial Turbine Current Sensor is designed for monitoring applications in pumps, turbines, and meters, employing eddy current technology to detect displacements and vibrations. Its architecture combines a 75 mm diameter probe with a 24 VDC driver, optimized for operation under extreme conditions. The concentric radial structure enables precise electromagnetic telemetry, while the tip material (PEEK) and body (stainless steel) ensure thermal and mechanical resistance. The probe is calibrated for AISI 4140 steel, with a sensitivity of 2 mV/µm and a frequency band from DC to 10 kHz, ideal for high-precision industrial applications.
The sensor operates based on the variation in inductive impedance generated by the displacement of the material under analysis. Electromagnetic telemetry enables linear measurement from 0 to 8.5 mm with linearity of 1%, even in environments with extreme temperatures (-30 °C to +180 °C for the probe). The 24 VDC output and output impedance of less than 50 Ohms ensure easy integration into control systems. The accuracy of 2 mV/µm is maintained under continuous operating conditions, even with thermal variations of up to 5% at 150 °C, guaranteeing harmonic expansion in critical applications.
Dual Engineering Audit (FAQ)
The sensor's sensitivity remains stable within its operating range (-30 °C to +180 °C), although it exhibits a thermal variation of less than 5% at 150 °C. This tolerance is due to the probe's calibration with AISI 4140 material and the use of PTFE insulation in the cable, which minimizes harmonic expansion. The system's reactive inertia ensures that thermal fluctuations do not affect the accuracy of the electromagnetic telemetry, even in industrial environments with extreme vibrations.
The sensor supports options such as 4-20 mA outputs, custom measurement ranges, submersible versions, custom designs, and specific cable lengths. The cable length can be adjusted to the user's needs, with a maximum of 9 meters for the standard version. Furthermore, adapters for CAN 2B or RS422 systems can be integrated, allowing for a range of integration into complex industrial networks.
