Taco Cal is a frequency generator – simulator (pulses) 0.01Hz to 100 KHz

The Taco Cal is a pulse frequency generator or simulator, allowing the generation of square wave frequencies from 0.01Hz to 100KHz, thanks to its digital numerical preselection, without cumbersome and imprecise rotary controls.

Perfect for maintenance on wind turbines.

The output can be selected from the type: PNP, NPN, TTL, NAMUR, AC, PUSH-PULL.

Its typical application is as an encoder simulator or any pulse sensor.

It can be powered very conveniently from the TACO Flex converter's input plug-in terminal, from the output banana plugs or via the side jack of an external power supply.

Properties

Frequency range: From 0.01 Hz to 100 kHz,

Selectable outputs: It is capable of emulating different types of signals, including PNP, NPN, NAMUR, AC, TTL and PUSH-PULL, making it versatile for various system configurations.

Precision and stability: It features digital numerical frequency preselection, eliminating the need for imprecise rotary controls. Its maximum error is 0.01% on each scale, and it offers long-term stability of ±0.005%.

Feeding: It can be powered directly with 24 VDC (range 12 to 28 VDC) via the top connection terminals, or by an external 12 VDC power supply (range 12 to 24 VDC). Its internal power consumption is 30 mA.

Design and dimensions: It features an ergonomic housing with a folding backrest and a clamping clip. It measures 130 x 75 x 26 mm and weighs 240 grams, making it easy to transport and use in the field.

This frequency simulator is a device especially useful in wind turbines and for the calibration and verification of encoders, converters, PLCs, counters, variable speed drives and other instruments that operate with pulse frequency inputs.
