The Schreiber Messtechnik SM48 LVDT displacement sensor is a high-precision inductive displacement sensor designed for industrial applications requiring precise linear measurements under demanding conditions. Measuring 89 x 60 x 26.5 mm and with a measuring stroke of up to 20 mm, this sensor integrates its electronics internally, making installation easier and reducing the need for external components.

The SM48's operating principle is based on the linear displacement of an iron-nickel core within a coil. This movement causes a change in inductance, which is converted into a signal proportional to the displacement, enabling measurements with an accuracy of up to ±0.25%. It also features minimal thermal drift, ensuring stability over a wide temperature range.

This sensor offers a variety of output options, including current (0-20 mA) and voltage (0-10 V) signals, adapting to the specific needs of each application. Its robust and compact construction, along with IP66/IP67 protection, make it suitable for demanding industrial environments.
